Celebrating Our iPad Giveaway Winner, Amira
When we launched our recent iPad giveaway, we hoped it would land in the hands of someone who would use it to make a real difference.
We could not be more delighted that it went to Amira.
Amira works closely with NDIS clients and is deeply passionate about helping them build confidence, independence and control in their everyday lives. For her, the iPad is more than a device. It is a practical tool that will support her clients to strengthen their digital skills and take meaningful steps towards managing their supports themselves.
“I’m so grateful to have received Clickability’s iPad giveaway,” Amira shared. “It’s going to be a fantastic tool to help my NDIS clients build confidence and independence with technology, so they can reach their goals of managing their supports on Clickability themselves. Being able to book and organise services on their own is a huge step towards independence and control over their own lives.”

[Clickability update, September 2026: This is Amira’s attributed aspiration. Confirm a provider’s actual booking process after connecting; a directory search or matching request is not itself a confirmed appointment.]

The challenges many NDIS participants face
In her experience supporting participants, Amira sees first-hand how complex the system can feel.
Clients are often coordinating multiple providers, juggling appointments, arranging transport and trying to navigate a support system that is not always simple. It can be overwhelming, particularly for those who are already managing significant daily challenges.
That is why platforms that bring everything together in one place matter. When participants can explore providers, compare options and organise services in a streamlined way, it reduces stress and removes unnecessary barriers. It creates space for choice, clarity and confidence.
Why independence matters
For Amira, the goal is always the same. Independence.
When participants are supported to manage their own services, even in small ways, it builds confidence. It strengthens decision-making skills. It increases engagement. Most importantly, it helps people feel more in control of their own lives.
Independent booking and organisation can mean greater flexibility, fewer delays and the ability to access supports on their own terms. These are not small shifts. They are meaningful steps towards autonomy.
Supporting participants to embrace technology
It is completely normal to feel unsure about new technology. Many participants and even support workers can feel hesitant at first.
Amira encourages people to take things at their own pace, to explore new tools gradually and to seek guidance when needed. Often, the hardest part is simply getting started. Once that first step is taken, confidence grows quickly.
Technology should not feel intimidating. It should feel empowering.
At Clickability, our mission is to make it easier for participants to explore their options, connect with providers and make informed choices about their supports. Seeing professionals like Amira champion independence and digital confidence is exactly why initiatives like our iPad giveaway matter.
Congratulations again, Amira. We cannot wait to see the positive impact this will have for your clients.

How participants can use digital tools with the help they choose

Pick one useful task, such as comparing provider profiles or saving a question for an enquiry. Decide which parts you want to do yourself and where you want help. Independence does not require managing every task alone.

Agree what information a helper can see and send. Keep passwords private and check the recipient before sharing plan or health details. Confirm an appointment directly with the provider after an enquiry.

How support workers can build confidence without taking over

Ask the participant which task matters to them and how they want to practise it. Break the task into manageable steps and let the person choose when to pause or ask for help.

Use only the access and information sharing the person has agreed to. Do not send a service request on their behalf without authority or assume a digital tool removes the need for the provider to confirm availability. See advice on choosing providers.
